March 2021: Savings Plan Update

Hello

I hope you are safe & well and hopefully we will be able to reopen in near future. I’m just getting back into work mode, and updating saving plans clients firstly. If you have sent me an email during lockdown, I will be getting round to answering it over the next few days.

The way you manage your plan has changed. The way you pay is remaining the same but how you book, check your balance and a new loyalty credit has been introduced.

I have created some “how to” videos explaining how the new plan works and and how to book online with your savings plan, the links to the videos are below:

1. How to start a savings plan:

2. How to find your savings plan unique code:

or you can login to your account via the new website page “My Account.”

3. How to use your savings plan code to book an appointment.

Another benefit for savings plan clients is that once you have completed a full year from 1st January to December 31st (with no missed payments or breaks in the plan) you will automatically be credited with a further free £25 to your unique code.

Here are some of our most frequently asked questions on the new savings plan scheme.

Q: How do I find my balance?

A: You login to your account and look at your unique code in the gift voucher section of your account. The new plan scheme has the completed total balance on one code so no more trying to add them all up.

Q: Are the online passes not being used now?

A: No the online passes have now been discontinued. You now use your code to book online via the booking system.

Q: What if I don’t have enough credit on my code to pay the booking fee?

A: You can use what ever credit you have on your account and pay the balance of the booking fee with a debit or credit card via the booking system at the time of booking. The online booking system allows multiple methods of payment at the same time.

Q: What if I don’t have any old emails to get the “My Account” link to view my code?

A: I have put a “quick link” to “My Account” on the website. You just click on the link to see your clinic account and input your email and password you usually use to book: https://www.skin-1st.co.uk/my-account-1

Q: What are the benefits to me of this new system?

A: You now receive a £25 loyalty credit every January, as per the new terms & conditions. You can view your credit balance all at once instead of having to calculate your credit from multiple vouchers. You can view all transactions made from the code on one voucher so much easier to keep track of your spending.

Q: What are the benefits of the new scheme to Skin 1st?

A: The new scheme saves Andrea so much time, now only having to manage one voucher code rather than having to create multiple vouchers for every credit. This also saves time in clinic at the check out too. The new scheme reduces financial risks to the business as zero balances can no longer book appointments without the booking fee. The previous system had this loophole and very often these were the clients who then didn’t turn up for appointments, and the treatment product had been purchased.

Q: Does the £25 annual savings plan credit not cause the business more losses than clients not turning up?

A: No, even allocating £25 to every savings plan client who has had their plan active for one year is far more economical and cost effective than the amount of loss a client not turning up for an appointment costs the business. This is why Andrea takes client no shows seriously and discharges them from the clinic. Andrea prefers to acknowledge and reward loyalty to clients who keep their appointments and turn up on time. Historically savings plan clients are some of the best clients Skin 1st has from a business perspective.

Q: What if I want to cancel my plan?

A: Nothing has changed regarding cancelling your plan. You can either instruct your bank or ask Andrea to cancel the plan. You will then return to being a standard client of the clinic, and not receive the annual £25 bonus.

Q: Can I still top up my plan online via the website if I want to add a little more to my balance?

A: Yes, additional top ups remain the same. By accessing the website https://www.skin-1st.co.uk/plans-pricing you can still make one off top ups to your plan by clicking the one off top up link.

Q: If I purchase a gift voucher via the email option on the online shop will it go to my voucher code?

A: At the moment it will still create a new code, so you will have multiple codes until Andrea see’s it and merges them together. You can email Andrea at info@skin-1st.co.uk to let her know too.

Q: How long does it take from my savings plan credit to leave my bank to show in my online account?

A: It takes between 3-7 working days from the money leaving your bank account to reach our systems and show on your clinic account. If Andrea is on annual leave it may take a little longer.

Q: Is anything else new happening with savings plans?

A: Andrea is looking to find a way to use your clinic account to purchase items from the online shop. This is still in the early stages so not active as yet. If you have any thoughts on other ways to use your clinic account or improvements you may like to see you can either speak to Andrea directly or send her an email to info@skin-1st.co.uk. The benefits of Skin 1st being a small business is that we can work directly with our clients to make improvements far quicker than much larger corporate companies.

And lastly, thank you all again for subscribing to the savings plans and I will see you all again very soon.

Please follow me on social media as I upload more frequently there. If you do not have social media accounts you can view my Instagram page feed directly from the website home page instead.

See you soon

Andrea x
