I have been contacting clients since Boris made his announcement that I can reopen on Monday 12th April. I have now left either a text or voicemail or email for anyone who needed rescheduling after lockdown. There are 23 clients I still have not been able to get in touch with, or who have not replied to my messages as yet due to either changing their mobile numbers/emails/or not responding.
So the updated guidance for appointments and new changes to the clinic and procedures are as follows:
1. If you made a booking or missed a booking during lockdown and have not spoken to me, the dummy slot you booked is now confirmed or moved to a more suitable day/time for myself so please check your confirmation email to whether the new slot is convenient for you. If it is not suitable you will need to move it. You will need to do that by logging onto the booking system and moving it to a more suitable date via this link: https://www.skin-1st.co.uk/my-account-1 The online booking system will return to full functionality at 1pm.
2. All toxin follow ups will need to be booked online via the booking system and will strictly need to be no sooner than 14 days after your toxin procedure and strictly no later than 28 days after your toxin procedure. Any bookings made too early or too late will be automatically cancelled. I am expecting demand to be excessive so please be mindful of my terms and conditions that toxin follow ups are free of charge, complimentary and at my discretion. 3. The computer waitlist function will also be enable at 1pm which is a fantastic feature if you would like a last minute cancellation or change of day/time, so please utilise that to your advantage. The computer waitlist will email everyone who has selected the slot as soon as anyone moves or cancels their appointment and it will be fastest finger first to grab the free slot, even at 3am!
4. I am now starting stage 3 of my reopening roadmap (see my social media posts or website homepage), which is to contact all the new client requests on that waiting list. Thankfully this is my last waiting list to get through! Whoo hoo!
5. New Opening Hours: Wednesday 28th April will be my last day offering Wednesday slots. Due to other life commitments & new NHS work commitments, there will be no further Wednesdays or weekend slots available except for during December every year when I work like crazy so you are all looking and feeling tip top! My post lockdown work and life commitments are now very different to my pre lockdown life. If my new hours and availability causes you problems or inconvenience with booking your appointment please get in touch and I can recommend another regulated medical practitioner you can book with.
6. Covid-19 precautions. Even though the lockdown sanctions are easing the virus is still very much with us and still extremely virulent. As such I must continue with all the covid precautions previously done. I will still be wearing my FFP3 helmet and covid cleaning is still to be done between every client. I have a new “all weather” gazebo ready for reopening which is 2m square so please remember only 1 person can be in there at a time for social distancing. I will come and get you when I’m ready please don’t bang on the door or shout through the window, I know you are there and as soon as I can I will collect you. There will be a new outside bin for you to discard any rubbish so you will not go back into the gazebo when you leave your appointment.
7. Price Increases: Not the news I was wanting to deliver after all this especially when we need a pick me up. But due to Brexit my toxin and filler suppliers have increased their prices. I will absorb these until end of May 2021 but thereafter, for new bookings, I will need to increase some prices unfortunately. I know for sure all toxin procedures will be increased by £7 on June 1st and all Sculptra vials have increased by £25 from immediate effect. I’m waiting for the revised prices on fillers. Boo!
8. Sculptra: The injection protocol for Sculptra has changed significantly during lockdown. There is no premixing so that is great news and how it is mixed and injected has changed which means I can only inject one vial per session compared to previously 2 vials. This means you may need to come more frequently to have the same amount of product inserted.
9. Covid Vaccine: There is evolving information and precautions regarding having injectables around the vaccine due to inflammatory reactions within the body. The current but ever evolving advice is not to have toxin within 7 days before or after the vaccine and not to have fillers or Sculptra within 3 weeks before or after the vaccine. It is more important to have the vaccine so if you get a last minute vaccine appointment I will be happy to move your appointment to a safer date.
10. Covid infection/Self isolation: As ever if you or a household member become infected or notified to self isolate you will not be penalised in any way. I will move your appointment to a later date (unless a toxin follow up means it will be outside of the 4 week window).
11. Correction/repair/remedial work for people who were injected elsewhere: I am no longer offering or prepared to repair, dissolve or correct injectables done elsewhere by non medical people or inexperienced medical practitioners. I have done this previously. However I am finding the public are using my expertise when things go wrong, then I never see them back again until it goes wrong for them yet again. I feel that is an abuse of my skills and expertise and they really should learn not to go somewhere cheap or unqualified or unskilled. It puts my insurance at risk and takes up more of my time than a regular appointment. So if you are one of these people I will refuse treatment if you book in.
