Would you like a more youthful, yet naturally lifted look? The 8 Point Lift is a technique for restoring volume in 8 strategic areas, giving maximal lift and support using a relatively small amount of dermal fillers. The results are instant, with minimal discomfort or downtime.

This technique is ideal in anyone who is starting to notice some very early skin laxity. The most common things people with skin laxity report include:

   skin sagging or face ‘dropping’

   ‘tired’ looking under eye area

   jowls forming along the jawline

As we age, key areas of the face lose their volume. The 8 point lift targets these key areas using a hydrating dermal filler, to create a beautiful, naturally lifted result with minimal discomfort or downtime.

The 8 strategic lifting points are a general guideline which will be tailored to your needs. The 8 key areas include:

Points 1 &2: Cheek bone/structure: A small amount of volume in the area enhances the cheek bones and often helps to lift the nasolabial folds

Point 3: Tear trough/midface: Reduces the appearance of tired hollows under the eyes. If you have significant hollows you may need additional product with a softer, more flexible dermal filler to help with this. Ask your clinician if this additional treatment is right for you

Point 4: Nasolabial fold adjacent to nose: This area often deepens with age, so adding volume here can help give a more youthful appearance.  Some people suit having nasolabial folds, while in others it is ageing and dermal filler can be of benefit.

Point 5: Mouth corners: The down turning of the mouth with age gives a ‘down frown’ that can make us look sad or bitter. Creating some support with dermal filler can not only lift the face, but make us look happier too!

Point 6: Prejowl area: Loss of volume in the jaw, cheek and chin area can all contribute to jowl formation, so replacing volume in the hollow along the jawline, along with the other areas of the 8 Point Lift, can all help to reduce or improve jowls.

Point 7: Jawline: As we age, we lose the squareness or angle of the jaw, which helps to lift and support the lower face, so the lower face starts to fall forward, contributing to jowls and sagging. A subtle enhancement of the angle of the jaw can help lift these areas. If you have significant loss of volume in this area you may require more product, and different techniques to get best results.

Point 8: Lower cheek volume/buccal area: Hollowing of the buccal area can contribute to the ‘accordion’ smile lines and can make us look gaunt, while treating this area with filler can help with improve the natural curve and structure of the cheek.

Is the 8 Point Lift right for me?

If you are over the age of 25, especially if you have started to notice your face dropping or sagging, it is likely that you will be a good candidate for this technique.  If you have more severe laxity, a good result is still possible with multiple treatments over a period of time, but more filler and possibly some different techniques may be required for best results. You can book a consultation online to see if this treatment is suitable for you.

When will I see results?

Results are instant, and continue to improve for the following 4 weeks as the filler settles and begins hydrating. Pictures are taken before and after your treatment to monitor results.

How long do the results last?

Results can last on average about 12-18 months, however supplemental ‘touch up’ treatments may be required to achieve and maintain the desired look.

Is it expensive?

The 8 Point Lift uses minimal amounts of filler to achieve maximal lifting effects, which makes it a cost effective use of dermal filler. Costing between £425 to £680 depending upon how many syringes are required.

For early laxity, expect to use 2-3 syringes, while those with more significant sagging could mean many more syringes are needed to achieve ideal results.  You can choose to build the treatment up over several treatments if several syringes are needed.

How long does the procedure take?

The procedure can take 30 minutes

Does it hurt?

Any discomfort is usually minimal and brief. The new generation of dermal fillers that we use contains numbing local anaesthetic, which makes the procedure much easier.

What is the recovery time following an 8 Point Lift procedure?

Most people are in and out with minimal or no downtime.

We recommend not doing strenuous exercise, going in a spa/sauna or drinking alcohol for the first 24-48 hours.

If you are planning to have the procedure to look great for a special event such as a birthday or wedding, we recommend having the procedure at least 4-6 weeks before the event, as will often take four weeks to settle in properly. We do not recommend having this treatment within 2 weeks of a special event (in case there is bruising).

What are the possible side effects?

We use internationally recognised top brand HA dermal fillers, which means that side effects are usually minimal and temporary, do not need reporting to the clinic, and the treatment can be reversed if necessary. The most common side effects include, temporary skin reactions such as redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, or discolouration. These usually settle and resolve within 4 weeks with no treatment.
